Wednesday WIP

Check it out!!!

I’ve been playing with these babies today! Cute huh? The nursery colors are purple, lavender, and navy. I have to say it was an interesting palate to hear and probably colors that I would not initially put together on my own, but once I started pulling fabrics I was getting really excited!

I love challenges like this! And helllooo, how adorable are the hedgies in there! I’m keeping it simple with a crazy nine patch/Stack n’ Wacky, you can find a tutorial here. As you can probably see, we didn’t end up adding a whole lot of navy in the group, but I think there is just enough. We also added the black squiggles and kei gray dots to keep with the fun and funky look! The sashing color has yet to be decided until the blocks are finished, possibly pulling a solid navy, gray, or lavender.

I tired to keep those awesome hedge hogs fussy cut so the seam allowance didn’t eat them up, turned out pretty well. The blocks are coming together beautifully and of course I have about a bajillion other color ideas running through my head right now.

All of the blocks just might be together already 😉

I’m in love with these blocks and I can’t wait to see what sashing my client decides to go with! So check back, I know you can’t wait to find out either!
