Confessions:

We’ve been playing a lot of catch up around here.

The multiple positions of Bella this week:

Rough day
Protector of the fabric
Like her mother, she has great taste in fabric. She knows the goods must be protected! All I can say is at least she had just come home from the groomer and was nice and clean and smelling delicious!
Tough life
She also knows how valuable the Flea Market Fancy is, can’t get past her with this one either!
For a while I have been in search of the perfect chair or ladder (still looking for that one) that I felt fit my style to photograph my quilts with. I stumbled into this little hole in the wall shop one afternoon last week and instantly fell in love! It was absolutely perfect and the quilt I’ve been dragging around with me as a tester just draped so absolutely nicely! How much better could it get? Well I’ll just tell you…it even folds up! Gah! Amazing! It’s so darn cute and I love it!
Dear Stella...
I did a little tester shoot with my fab new chair and a recently finished quilt top, which is also adorable! I’m thinking this little baby is going to fit right in with the rest of the quilts and other projects that might need to be photographed. There is just something about that raw wood that is so organic, yet chic.
Dear Stella...
As for the quilt, I’ve been so desperately been wanting to make a simple, charm, cross quilt, but was waiting for the right fabrics. I knew the second I saw this Dear Stella in a LQS that it was destined for this quilt. The nautical prints with the crosses are dynamite, It’s going to be a wonderful little quilt for a new baby.
On another note, I’ve been catching up on some bee blocks too. I feel that I’ve been so busy lately. Some of that busyness could definitely been blamed on the boy. We’ve been traveling to each other almost every weekend and spending oodles of time with each others families. It’s really a breath of fresh air, I haven’t really met someone like him that fit so perfectly with my family…kind of weird actually. Sorry, side tracked…back to the blocks:
Sew bee it
See bee it
I also have some other SUPER EXCITING news….but I can’t quite reveal it yet, possibly in the next few days! Eeek! Don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted!
