For the love of 4 months!

Gosh! I did it again! I fell off the face of the earth for a few months. But on a good note, I’m back in action.

I suppose the summer months are busy for everyone, but this summer seemed overly busy for myself this year. So here is a little recap of a few events:

1. New feet! I got new feet! And fell in love with these silly boogers until a few weeks in, when this happened…

2. Noooo Peg leg…dun dun dun… As a result of loading too much mileage too quickly in the Vibrams, I ended up with fractures and tendonitis all over my foot! Yuck!

3. Sleepy baby Bella helped me finish up my last bit of studying…

4. Graduation …And I made it to graduation, BS in Psychology.

5. I participated in a few swaps…
Goodie Bag Swap
Goodie bag swap The Goodie Bag Swap

Tokyo Subway Tokyo Subway Swap, Block 14

3x6 Caretaker Block Swap 3×6 Caretaker Block Swap

6. And a few bees…
Bits and Pieces Bits and Pieces, I learned how to spell my name hehe.

Sew Bee it July was my month in {Sew Bee It}, which turned into this…
{Sew Bee It} (not quite all the blocks)

3x6 2nd quarter BH2 3×6 Mini Sampler Bee 2nd quarter BH2

Bits and pieces Bits and Pieces

7. My foot finally healed and Corrie and I were able to run the Warrior Dash, OH SO FUN!!!
Warrior Dash Carolinas 2011 Before…

Warrior Dash Carolinas 2011 After!

So those are the main points of the summer, minus a few personal/work/boring/can’t remember events. Unfortunately, little to no sewing was accomplished. I really even struggled to finish bee blocks and swaps.

I’m so glad the cool weather is finally making an appearance and the kids I nanny for are back in school, which is conveniently leaving me spurts of time between searching for a “real job” and picking them up from school! I have finally been back on the machine and dabbling with new ideas and fabrics, it’s really quite refreshing!

As for the next few months, I have big plans for building up my shop and I have a few other quilty ideas up my sleeve! I am so excited to get back in the swing of things!
