Never have I thought I would consider teaching or something like this, but my best friend and some serious research may have just changed my mind!

Well….

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later 😡

…I had my first encounter with the law…

Uhhhh Ohhhh

Yes! It was scary, but I didn’t cry LOL! Thank god! I’ve never in my life been pulled over before!

I looked over across the highway and spotted the booger (ST) in the distance, going the other direction. I looked and him and he looked and me, and then I looked down. CRAP! I right then and there had the feeling he was going to flip around. Really I didn’t know I was speeding until I looked down the check. Yeah well I slowed down and didn’t see him for a good maybe 7min until BAM! Blue lights! POOP! He got me. Well at least he was nice, and hot LOL, and only gave me a warning! Thank goodness!

So on a lighter note, I thought I would share some books with you guys. They are recent purchases/ gifts that have been giving me some tips, inspiration, and just good fun!

This one ^^ I would highly recommend for anyone with a crafty online business or wanting to start one. It really gives some great tips on how to get your product out to the rest of the world and some basic information on how to run a business in general.

These on the other hand showed up at my doorstep yesterday! Yesss I got a little excited when there was an amazon box with my name on it and I hadn’t ordered anything, well except some school text books. I thought at first that’s what it was until I opened the package!

My mommy is WAY too good to me!

I have been dabbling in hand embroidery only a TINY bit, but bought lots of different sized hoops and tons of different colors of threads. My intention was to get some cute ones made up for a local craft fair coming up in April. We shall see how it goes!

Here’s whats been happening:

Signed up for the 3×6 mini-bee.
3x6 Beehive 2 - 1st Quarter Inspiration

Signed up for the Spicing up the Kitchen {a modern swap}.
Spicing Up The Kitchen Inspiration

Signed up for {Urban} Home Goods Swap.
UHG Swap Inspiration

Signed up for the Doll Quilt Swap 10.
DQS 10 Inspiration

Lots of exciting swaps for the next few months!

I had planned on knocking out the 3×6 bee blocks this weekend, but mom came down, then we went fabric shopping haha! And unfortunately by Sunday morning I was sick, headache, sore throat, super stuffy, and the whole left side of my head is acting funny LOL (you know drippy eye, only left nostril stuffy, lots of pressure). Yes, I am still feeling like this.

I managed to get one block whipped out this weekend:
3x6 Mini Bee BH2-1stQ

And another today:
3x6 1Q-BH2

Oh! And here is a sneak peek of my DQS10:
DQS 10

I am also sticking to my plan of finishing a book a month. I read The Nanny Diaries which I got for Christmas, it was quite suiting and all too funny in comparison to the family I work for (at least a few things). I would recommend it for an easy, humorous read. I’m hoping that I will be able to stick to this goal even though school has started back and I’m in my last and final stretch towards graduation in the spring!

Pay it Forward

It was very exciting to be chosen by Kaelin (my scottie partner in crime) over at The Plaid Scottie as one of the blogs she likes to follow! So you may be wondering what the Liebster Award is. It’s an award for all of us “little” bloggers with 300 or less followers. The idea is in order to accept the award, you have to pass it on by exposing a few more bloggers that you follow! Pretty easy huh?
So after browsing around on a few of my favorite blogs this morning while I sit at home sick, I hopped over to read Megan  of Canoe Ridge Creations and she has also chosen me! Even more exciting.
If you guys don’t follow Megan & Kaelin you should! They are two awesome ladies. && thanks for choosing me!
As for paying it forward, here are a few lovelies I like to read:
[1] Brooke of April Two Eighty is one talented lady! She is so inspiring to myself and the blogging community. On her blog she expresses her talents through “sewing, decor, photography, + more!” Now if that line right there doesn’t peak your interest then I don’t know what will.
Brooke gets her inspiration from all over, but lately her love of music artists especially!
So! Check her out!
[2] Jessica over at Euphoria lives by the saying “always keep it real, then, always keep it crafty.” It definitely shows in her incredible crafty sense!
Jessica has such a great sense of humor! And oh! By the way she is already finished quilts for 2011!
She is on the ball! You should check her out! Especially since she has the cutest family ever!
[3] Last, but not least! Check out Kati of From the Blue Chair!
Kati is absolutely wonderful and full of fun wonkiness!
And if nothing else, check out her SWEEEEET chairs! I totally want one, or two, or all! She does a great job of keeping up with her blog so head over there!!!

go, Go, GO!!!!
