3×6 Angel Block

I love taking the opportunity to make Angel Blocks because it a lots me the freedom of trying a single block that I 1. have never done before or 2. usually do not make. This also was a great opportunity for me to scrounge around in my scrap bin.

I have never made a block like this before, but it was a lot of fun. On that note, I also am not sure how soon I might make another since it was a bit time consuming, at least for a whole quilt. Dana’s colors were Orange, gray, an white, some of my favorites!

Dana, I hope you like it, I know it is a bit out of the ordinary, but I hope it will fit in with the rest of your blocks alright!

Oh! And Parisville is sitting at my mom’s house, I can’t wait to get home this weekend to see it in person. Although I do have to admit the rat in the hair is creeping me out a bit!

Not much to say…

Other than I am exhausted, hope I am not getting sick, hope I did well on my Business Law test tonight, tomorrow is the last day of the work week, informal and formal this weekend, Oh, and I am LOVING this watch!

I am not much of a watch person, but I just think I might become one! It can be found here

I can’t wait for Christmas….

Well really I can’t wait to eat turkey for Thanksgiving first, but then I get to get my first Christmas Tree!! I am very excited! Well it isn’t my FIRST Christmas Tree, but the first Christmas Tree in my cute little beach house. I have plans of getting my tree when my mom comes down so we can decorate it together like we did when I was a kid and lived at home.

We never even got a tree when I was married because we went home for Christmas and it was just too much of a hassle. The only down fall after much debate over whether to get the tree or not is everything else that goes with the tree…the stand, skirt, ornaments, lights, topper.

Last year I got one ornament think that I would have a tree and never did, but I can’t wait to use it this year. It looks exactly like a Heather Ross goldfish!

This weekend I also picked up a few more ornaments and my mom got me a tree topper. I am going with red, green, white, and silver. I was able to find some really fun ornaments at Micheal’s 50% off. Of course I will still need more, but it is a great start.

They are funky and modern, which fit me perfectly!

I just love the wire tree topper my mom found at TJ Maxx! I think it is going to fit in wonderfully with the rest of the tree decorations.

Eekk! Just looking at these picture are getting me excited! I reallllly can’t wait! And even though I won’t be at my house for Christmas (I am going home), I am ready to start decorating!

“Be Naughty, save santa a trip” and “ho3” ho, ho, ho

Cute bev. naps. for holiday! Too bad I probably won’t be having any get togethers, but they will still be fun to use!

Are you guys getting ready for the holidays yet?

A bit of a Weekend Stash and a Birthday!

Yesterday was my 22nd Birthday so over the weekend I celebrated with the family. We did a little bit of  shopping (my favorite!) and of course a yummy dinner!

Woo Hoo! Don’t die when I tell you this is from Joanns! Yes, I have been looking for AH 2D and there it was, in the baby section which I would have totally passed up if my mom wasn’t still looking. I finished off the bolt too since the guy at the cutting table gave me 50% off! As for the diamonds I’m not sure who they are by, but they were in the FQ bin.

A little bit of scottie fabric for my Bella. This is either going to be part of a stocking or tree skirt!

These are from Corrie, we went to Thimble Pleasures in Chapel Hill for a bit of shopping and found these! I was very excited to find the yellow toasters I’ve been looking for and I just LOVE the bikes! I have a thing for bikes.

Also from the same shopping trip we came across these (minus the Echino dots). Those gorgeous FMF Brown Barbells were hiding in the 1/2yd bin. That was all they had and I usually don’t looking in the 1/2yd bins. It was a wonderfully lucky find!
Don’t mind my retarded hair. Mom and Corrie’s son Isaac!
