Honeycomb and Flea Market Fancy on the brain

Right now I am a little obsessed with honeycomb prints and bees. I have bee collecting a few honeycomb prints for a new collection. I just threw together a baby quilt top tonight with the first set of honeycomb prints. (Sorry for the horrible lighting, it is only 10pm ha, will get better pictures later)

Also! My FMF collection is slowly growing! I just wish it would grow a bit faster. Pink seeds came in the mail today, but just like everyone else, I am hoping to get my hands on tiny bits of the greys, brown dotted leaves, green seeds, and golden & pink bouquet. Hopefully it will be soon. I am quite ready to get started on a quilt of my own with this little bit of heaven!

I am even getting my husband trained on FMF, today the package of pink seeds came. I quickly ripped open the envelope and let out a slight squeal and he replied simply “are these more fancy seeds.”

On another note, a swap I received about a week ago Christine enclosed the cutest handmade card resembling Heather Ross’ Fish in the Bag!

My Girls won 1st!!

Last weekend Candace and I took our Level 3 gymnasts to their first meet! It was so exciting and nerve racking. Now for me I have been around gymnastics my whole life competing and coaching rec gymnastics. This was my first year to have competitive girls and I do have to say I LOVE it! It makes me almost feel like I am competing again. I am so happy for our girls winning first place and each of the grabbing up at least one 9 along the way!! Now we’re off to get ready for the next meet. I can’t wait!!

Sunday Stash

A trip to a new (to me) quilt shop got me this:

I finally have my hands on some Hope Valley!

More & Final Bee Blocks!

Here are the last three blocks for the first round of the 3×6 Mini Quilting Bee! After only two days in, I’m already done. It is quite a bitter sweet moment. I hope the next two months pass quickly so I can get on to the next set of 6.

I am also participating in DQS8. I think I have decided on a Joseph’s Coat pattern for my partner and potentially K. Fassett material. This weekend I will be drafting it out to see how some blocks look and I’ll go from there!
