pears and horses?

My sweet new business cards came in last week! Now I can send them out with my orders and pass around town to get my name out. They turned out really cute, just as I was hoping. Although I do wish the “Romeo & Juliet Designs” was a little bigger, but oh well I know for the next round. I also got a cute card holder for Spring Fest and such.

Next this last Saturday, I went in search of some potential new fabrics. Of course there is a shop in town that has nice fabrics, but the lady is the biggest….ehhh…Cranky Monster. Ughh it really annoys me. Anyway, I had gotten fed up with her cranky attitude while my mom was still looking around the shop and I decided to dump her giant scrap bin on the floor lol. To my surprise, I found Heather Ross fabrics in there! I couldn’t believe it! And of course some other cuties for new projects. Needless to say when I went up to the counter to ask if she was going to carry Heather Ross in her shop she didn’t even know who she was. Go figure, apparently the pieces I found were only samples that had been sent to her and she wasn’t too fond of them. Maybe should cater to the younger crowd.

I don’t know if you guys have seen the cute new line that Target is carrying, but I first saw it in Domino and finally it has come to our Target. We have been in need of some new mugs since we moved into the new house that these adorable cuties fit the bill just right. Yay for yummy morning coffee in pretty mugs.

So is anyone else worried about the new CPSIA child lead law? I personally think it is silly that they took it this far as to making the finished product producer responsible for the amount of lead in the products that it took to make their item. All I can say is my nice letter will be sent to congress and hopefully they will come to their little senses.

OH!! and our AMAZING new IKEA opened this week! I can’t wait to make a trip for lots of new stuff!!

Oh how I do hate binding!! But at least I can say I am getting better and faster at it. It used to make me completely stop and just look at the quilt for a few days or weeks before I would actually get around to the binding. But tonight I finished the quilting and binding of one of my tops. YAY! more to post on etsy and more that will be ready for Springfest.

The quilt will be posted tomorrow on etsy and are cute little fishies since the last fishy quilt sold so quickly last time. I just love the fish in the bags!

All I can say is thank goodness the term is almost over, I have sooo much stuff that I need to get done and turn in. I probably wont be quilting much the next few weeks. On top of that my teeth hurt like crazy due to the spacers I had put in my mouth two days ago. It feels as if I want to run my head into a wall. I dont remember them hurting this badly the last time I had braces. Any way the braces go on in a week and a half….joy. At least they are only on for 5months this time just to straighten a few of my teeth back up.

Keep Calm and Carry On.

YAY!! I finally got my awesome Keep Calm and Carry on poster framed and hung! I also got my antlers up. I think they look pretty cute together, now I must finish all the decorating. It is slowly coming together.

The sewing machine is backing working action, so I need to find time tomorrow or Saturday to pick it up and start sewing away. Unfortunately I have a Christianity midterm to finish by 5pm Saturday. AHH.

Oh and here is a picture I am sending in to springfest for them to look at my products. Cross your fingers!

i like.

I really like this CD contraption from Ikea. Jake has been roaming around trying to find a new DVD storage unit and of course I want something that looks cool to go with our new living room. Unfortunately this thing doesn’t fit DVD’s….Maybe ill build one, can’t be that hard right huh?
